TEACHER OF BIOLOGY (Autumn Term 2018, maternity cover)
We require an energetic and committed Teacher of Biology for the autumn term, teaching predominantly GCSE and KS3 classes. This post would suit both experienced teachers seeking an opportunity in a different school, or well-qualified teachers new to the profession.
The Biology Department
The biology department consists of 5 full time specialist teachers, each based in a fully equipped laboratory and a full time biology technician. All labs are equipped with projectors and well-resourced with textbooks and other teaching resources. Most labs have interactive whiteboards or state of the art apple TVs. There are also two well equipped prep rooms for the use of the Scientists.
In years 7 and 8 pupils following the Exploring Science curriculum is taught in mixed-ability classes and is used to build a strong foundation for the following years. From year 9, students work towards the CIE IGCSE in Coordinated Science.
Biology is one of the most popular A level subjects in the school. We have a proud record of successfully preparing students for the most competitive degree courses in medicine, veterinary science, dentistry, pharmacy and Oxbridge degree courses in biology or natural sciences.

Admissions Assistant (to start September 2018)
Type of Position: Part time, permanent. Term time plus 4 weeks in the holiday.
Contracted hours: 24 hours term time only (Mon 8-5pm, Thursday 8-5pm, Friday 8-5pm)
4 set weeks in School holidays:
October half term/February half term/Last 2 weeks in August
Open Mornings required – 2 Saturdays and 2 evenings a year.
Salary: £10,000 pa (including paid holiday)
Reporting to: Admissions Officer
Objectives of role:
To support the Admissions Officer in processing all admissions for all pupil entries across the School.
To be a prominent public representative providing excellent customer service and promoting the values, attributes and aims of Woodhouse Grove.
To develop and foster effective working relationships with academic and support colleagues with the aim of ensuring a clear and efficient admissions process across all the school.

EARLY MORNING CLEANER
15 hours per week between 5.30 am and 8.30 am.
Monday to Friday inclusive.
Pay £8.45 per hour 52 week contract + holidays
Extra hours may be available to cover holidays and absence.
Start Date: as soon as possible, subject to DBS and references
This role does not attract entitlement to remission of school fees
