Counter Terrorism Policing North East Prevent have pulled together the attached Prevent safeguarding letter, which alerts parents to the Prevent based risks children may face over the Summer vacation period.

Please see the downloads below from North East Counter Terrorism Policing Unit regarding information to help you spot any signs of radicalisation of young people. While the risk of radicalisation remains low, extra time online during the holidays may increase the chances of young people coming into contact with people who may wish to draw them into extremism.
The information provides you with information and advice about the signs to look out for and how you can approach and have conversations with your children about this subject.
