Once again our Fifth Form and Upper Sixth achieved some excellent exam results in August.
Given our broad admissions profile, these are very pleasing once again.
At A level the main headlines included a 100% pass rate, 83% at the top grades (A-C) and a record 66% at A/B (44.6% Grade A). Our average UCAS points per student score of 373 is also a record and is equivalent to more than 3 grade ‘A’ A Level passes per student. Most students achieved the grades they needed for their first choice university place.
At GCSE many students acquitted themselves very well with a record 47.1% A*/A and an overall pass rate of 95% (another record).
However, equally pleasing were the good grades achieved by candidates who have had to work hard throughout their time at school to overcome specific difficulties or for whom academic success has always been elusive despite their best efforts. Once again, therefore, there are good news stories to celebrate across the whole ability profile and for the current Year 11 to emulate and surpass.
