Former player for New Zealand All Blacks and latterly Harlequins, Zinzan is credited with being one of the greatest players to ever grace the fields and is an icon of the world of rugby. Sky Sports reporter and Old Grovian Richard Graves, conducted an ‘interview’ with Zinzan.
The light entertainment for the evening was provided by Dr Terry Crystal and Mick Morgan. Terry Crystal is the medical officer for Leeds United FC, and entertained the audience with stories both topical and amusing, from his time as the team Doctor for England Rugby Union. Mick Morgan’s rugby career with Wakefield Trinity, Castleford and England, spans 23 years and includes receiving the Rugby League ‘Man of Steel’ award in 1982. Combining humour and anecdotes, Mick was the MC for the evening and conducted games of stand up sit down bingo and a very successful auction to raise over £15,000 for our chosen charities.
