A Winters Tale

Our video gives a whistle stop tour of the many buildings at Woodhouse Grove School - the traditional, with their wealth of character and the newly-built, state-of the art ones. It shows the school in its beautiful and extensive grounds, and we meet the Headmaster, David Humphreys.

CURRICULUM
We get a flavour of the extensive curriculum available at The Grove. As well as lessons in the science labs, art department and new music building with its modern facilities, we see living history with play-acting, art classes in the open air and a snippet of the sixth form’s lively debate.

SPORT
Sport plays a major role in the curricular and extra-curricular life at The Grove. We see some of the many indoor and outdoor sports currently available at the school, from cricket, rugby, tennis, swimming and netball to fencing, table-tennis and rowing. We are also proud to show off our well-equipped gym.

PERFORMING ARTS
Our video manages to explore the amazing depth of drama and music facilities we have here at The Grove. We glimpse inside the recording and mixing studios, experience some acting performances at the theatre, see the orchestra, choir and individual musicians in action and get a small taste of our pupils’ enormous talent.

BOARDING
If anyone wonders what boarding is like at Woodhouse Grove, our video shows the residential facilities on offer, from well-equipped bedrooms and common rooms to communal kitchens. Combined with the pupil camaraderie and the fun they experience on the many extra-curricular trips available, potential boarders should be keen to join!
